CookieYes alternative

The CookieYes alternative without pageview tiers

CookieYes is a popular, Google-certified consent platform that works on almost any website. Its paid plans are priced per domain and capped by monthly pageviews, with overage fees on the lower tiers. PrivacyPill's Pro plan has no pageview cap, covers unlimited domains, and there's a one-time €49 option for a single site.

Where the pricing models differ

CookieYes counts every page load that runs its script. A site with 120,000 monthly pageviews needs the Pro plan (€23/month per domain) or pays overage on Basic; three such sites means three subscriptions. PrivacyPill Pro is €9/month (or €79/year) for unlimited pageviews across unlimited domains.

If you run one site and hate subscriptions, the Lifetime license is €49 once — unlimited pageviews, no badge, lifetime updates.

What's the same

Both tools give you a first-layer reject button, granular categories, Google Consent Mode v2, consent logs and a cookie scanner. Both work on any website — custom HTML, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and more.

When CookieYes is the better choice

CookieYes is the better fit if:

  • You run AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads to EEA, UK or Swiss visitors and need a Google-certified CMP with IAB TCF (CookieYes Pro or Ultimate).
  • You need banners in many more languages, weekly scheduled scans or scanning behind a login (Ultimate).
  • You want a cookie policy and privacy policy generator bundled with the banner.

Switching from CookieYes

Remove the CookieYes script (or plugin) and add the one-line PrivacyPill embed as the first script in <head>. Replace any CookieYes-specific script blocking with data-pp-category, then confirm consent defaults and updates in Google Tag Assistant. Visitors see the new banner once, because PrivacyPill doesn't read CookieYes's consent cookie.
